Our goal for the farm is to produce potatoes – now one of the leading food staples in Zimbabwe. We will use drip irrigation to control the growing cycle independently of the rainfall. Given the weather we think we can grow the equivalent of 2 harvests per year – or more likely plant on a rolling basis to provide a steady harvest to the market. Planned start will be 5 ha (10 acres) and we will take it from there as our experience and results allow for. This area of the Eastern Highlands is  the designated potato growing area of Zimbabwe and there has been infrastructure supporting this over the years which we will tap into for help and advice
